Car Reaffirmation dont know what to do, please help.

My bankruptcy has been smooth thus far, but tomorrow I have a car reaffirmation hearing. I am leaning on not attending and hoping that PenFed will let me do a "ride-through" on my auto loan. I have about $6000 equity in my car and it's value is currently around $6000 (realistically if I had to sell it). I just don't know if I should put myself in this position again ... I live in a big city so public transit is an option ... just not a pleasant one. Let me know if anyone has experience with reaffirmations on autos. Thanks.

    I found this for you:

Feel free to read it all, BUT,....

If you skip Dow to the "Circuits Split on Ride Through" you can learn where your Circuit stands.

In our case, we live in a "Redeem, Reaffirm, or Surrender" Circuit.

Thank you for that, I live in California so that would technically be the ninth circuit; and according to the article you posted iduuno, California's central district does not require a reaffirmation if you remain current. Don't think I will attend the hearing; but if someone knows something different let me know. But thanks for that.
