    Schedule J - Current Expenditures

I am filing Chapter 7 without an attorney. It is going fine so far; however, I have a couple of questions about Schedule J.

    1. Do you include the payments you are no longer making on the outstanding debts you have on the form or only the actual expeditures you are making each month?

    2. I am filing without my husband. Schedule J is for all "family" expenses, but On the bottom of Schedule J (Line 20a), it asks for the average monthly income from Line 15 of Schedule I, which is just my income. How does this work? Do I list all "family" expenses and only list my income which when the expenses are subtracted will be a negative amount?

    Any help would be appreciated.

Question 1: You want to show your actual continuing expenses. Don't include debts that will be discharged.

I'll let someone else handle #2.

Thank you! That's what I was thinking initially, but sometimes you overthink things instead of going with your gut.
