    Adding exemptions together?

Listed below are the state exemptions for Washington, just wonding if I could add the auto allowance to the extra $2000 for other property together. (total $4500) I can't find anything that says you can or can't.

    Washington Bankruptcy Exemptions
    Homestead $125,000*
    Wearing Apparel $1,000
Furs, jewelry, and personal ornaments for any individual, private libraries
    $1,500
    Family pictures and keepsakes $1,500
Household goods, appliances, furniture, and home and yard equipment, $2,700
Other personal property $2,000 Motor vehicle $2,500 Cash or bank accounts $100

If the wildcard provides for it, then you can "stack" the exemptions.
    Chapter 7 (No Asset/Non-Consumer) Filed (Pro Se) 7/08 (converted from Chapter 13 - 2/10)
Status: (Auto) Discharged and Closed! 5/10

You really need to read the code and how it has been interpreted.

In "general" most exemptions for personal items and cash are on a per debtor basis so they CAN be stacked. So, if you have joint debtors, each debtor is entitled to their own exemption. The usual exception to stacking is the homestead exemption, homestead exemptions are usually attached to the "property" not the debtor. So, if you have a $60,000 homestead exemption, and joint debtors, each debtor only has a $30,000 homestead exemption, not $120,000.
