I just got turned down by Quicken. They said 3 years I would have to wait from the foreclosure which would be like 2 1/2 years no matter what and that there would be no other options for me. Maybe I will win the power ball tonight. Ha ha

it's really NOT 3 years it's the clock starts ticking when you call the FEDs and find out what and if you are on the CAIVRS list. that's your time clock. most loans in the past 10 years were backed my the government, therefore they go from that date.

The loan officer reviewed my credit and because B of A sold the loan to Green Tree it shows that it was still updating as of 7/13. I tried to dispute it and have only heard from Equifax, and they ended up changing the fall off date to 2017 from 2015. Hurt me worse. I have not heard back from the others. Do you know the number to call to see if I an on the CAIVRS list?

CAIVRS (Credit Alert Verification Reporting System ) i think only got up and running in 2012 and that's the list i know quicken loans told me to call. we had a FHA loan, because that but it you ANY type of loan you are most likely on the list. If the information in CAIVRS about a borrower with an FHA-insured mortgage is incorrect, FHA will correct the information upon submission to the appropriate FHA Homeownership Center (HOC) of documentation showing the correct information. The HOC cannot correct information reported by another government agency.

ii think the number we call was (800) CALL-FHA (225-5342). i just supplied them with our name ss# and old address. it took 5 seconds for them to look it up. ours made no sense at all. we were discharged in 08 but the list has us not being able to get a mortgage until 2016, is simply and absolutely an arbitrary date number, with no sense or reason.

it SMASHED all these FHA guidelines this board has been posting PLUS also this either or theory of such and such a date from your BK closed and discharged to such and such a date from you foreclosure. again, it's the lenders FHA on gives guidelines as i said. the lenders to not have to use them. it's the luck of the draw unfortunately. also unfortunately CAIVRS plays a very prominent role in obtaining government backed mortgage process. since we had 100% down and i just need a bit more that didn't even help, i try to go conventional, everyone of the lenders said we now ONLY do government back loans. yet i heard from another member on the forum that wasn't so, i don't really know i know it didn't work for us in anyway shape or form.

here is the website for HUD, i would contact them if the number i provided is not help: http://portal.hud.gov/hudportal/HUD?...sfh/sys/caivrs

the sad truth of this is, we have two homes now, both paid in full 5 years out, our credit scores well into the 700 and that didn't help a bit. it just makes no sense.

i have seen a few VAs on through on the this board and USDA as well. you may want to contact USDA if you do not qualify for a VA.

After getting more correspondence from GreenTree,(sending it to my mother's house) I called and wanted to know why I am getting stuff still if the home is foreclosed. I started wondering if it had foreclosed. I pulled deeds from the county and it shows 2 foreclosures. 1 in 2011 with Bank of America and another in 2013 from GreenTree. I only had 1 mortgage and 1 house. I got the rep at green tree to answer questions up to a point when his supervisor shut him down because of the BK. He confirmed they were still sending bills out after the foreclosure. He told me to fax a letter stating for them to only contact my attorney, and I asked if someone could research the whole foreclosure issue. I have a feeling I'm going to have to hire an attorney to fix this. To me it appears that Bank of America sold a foreclosed loan to Greentree and it started the whole process over again. The home is still empty and when I search it online it says "pre foreclosure". I did have to laugh at a bill I got for them 'winterizing" the house 8 times. Before I moved out I paid for a plumber to come in and winterized it.
I have not had a chance to call to CAIVRS. I just need a day off to be on the phone with no one around (the cubicles have ears). And I also have not found a place to live. I have been packing my non essentials and saying "see you in 3 years"
