    mortgage due not reaffirming

    sorry about all the questions..

Im not re-affirming thanks any of my secured loans and was curious to how the payments work.

my house mortgage was due on the 1st and late by the 15th. So now that I have to keep making payments how much flexibility is there? Do I need to have the payment there by the 1st, or just make sure it gets there before the 15th?

what if it ends up on the 22nd one month.. is the house gone?

It depends on what your note says. Mine says due on 1st and late after the 15th. Seems yours says the same. Therefore, as long as you pay by the 15th, you're good.

16th is late. I'm not sure how keen a lender is to foreclose. I make sure to pay mine in advance.

I'm so dang used to auto payments and apparently that will be a thing of the past. Do you use bill pay service through your online banking? I'm thinking about going that route. One of my vehicles bk depts recommended that to me. He actually said once my bk is discharged I can call back and get setup on auto-payment again.

Ive never used billpay service but it seems like a good option so that I never miss a payment.

I'm wondering though.. Do you verify with the banks that your payments were made and applied correctly every single month?

I use my bank's online bill pay to pay my mortgage and all of my bills. Payments to large institutions are all made electronically. I have never made a special effort to confirm a payment was made and have never had a payment not get applied. My mortgage company sends informational statements that confirm payment.

You most likely will be able to restart your mortgage auto-payment after your bk is discharged. But, after using bill pay, you may decide there is no point.
