NoLo Chapter 7 Book - Oregon Exemptions

    HELP!!

The NoLo Chapter 7 book shows an Oregon personal property exemption for "construction materials for use in remodeling or renovating a home." However, when I check the exemptions on various online sites, I see no mention of this exemption.

Does anyone know if this exemption actually exists in Oregon? If so, does it include power tools and hand tools required to perform the renovation?

I'm in the middle of a renovation and have a few thousand dollars in hardwood flooring and power tools that I'd like to hold on to.

    Thanks for any help.

i advise you go to the NOLO website and look at the updates section for the CH7 book; lots of times the exemptions online are more recent than those in the 2007 version of the book. obviously the most current version of the exemptions apply. if you really need to know, you can call your state's BK court clerk and ask how to find the most up to date exemption list.
