    What a mess!

Well my attorney was confident about passing the means test etc. and so when I filled out schedule J I just ballparked the numbers about what I was spending. Now the UST is involved and it looks like in reality I am over the median the way the attorney had me file.

I think I need to ask the attorney to re-submit schedule J with a post bankruptcy estimate. Is there a good way to estimate schedule J expenses?

Does anyone know what the difference is for the UST using schedule J versus the means test for abuse? I am over the median (I think), but the way I fill out the online means test I pass even with being over. My schedule J, as is, shows me with almost 1000 disposable income, which I know for a fact I don't have every month. I am so confused as to what I should be asking my attorney to try and push through to the UST.

    Thanks for any advice/opinions.

If your schedule shows you having over around $180 a month in disposable income, then the US Trustee will try to kick your case into a chapter 13.
You can't take a picture of this. It's already gone. ~~Nate, Six Feet Under
