I assume you did not reaffirm the mortgages. Your name will still be on the mortgages and you will receive foreclosure notices if there is a default. But, you have no personal liability for the loans and the creditors cannot attempt to collect from you if there is a deficiency after foreclosure.
Thank you. My atty did reply back and also said that if the house does go into foreclosure that it won't show up on my credit report. Just the bankruptcy will show up on my credit report. I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard that a "Foreclosure" on your credit report is much worse than "Bankruptcy" especially when it comes to getting a mortgage later on.
