341 This Friday nervous but ready

    Hello out there.
Well dooms day is upon the horizon lol
No but seriously the dreaded 341 meeting is this coming Friday the 1st
I'm really nervous will be attending this meet alone.
I choose to do this pro Se I'm sure I've got everything done correctly
With the help of the good people here along studying Nolo and 40+ hours of
Bankruptcy forms and rules i think this should work out smoothly.
But any advise would be great also does it matter what you wear?
I have to work as soon as I'm done I was thinking about wearing shorts
and flip flops to this meeting lol jk

I'd suggest dressing approiate to your occupation.
I wore slacks, a sportcoat and dress white shirt with no tie.
I saw some hospital employees in scrubs. Others were in nice jeans with polo shirt.
Just present yourself in a respectful manner.
As Pamkev says-this is a new day-think a Phoneix rising from the ashes!
      Good luck-you'll do just fine.

Just finished mine last week. I wore a polo and nice jeans, wife wore a nice blouse and capri pants. We arrived 2 hours early, ate lunch at a food cart outside. Sat outside and listened to a few meetings beforehand. Finally it was our turn, walked up, sat down, turned over our bank statement, DLs and SS cards. Trustee handed them back, asked us 5 questions and then said he was satisfied. I can't believe we lost weeks of sleep over that meeting. It was a piece of cake and seriously took about 3 minutes.

The vast majority of people who worry about their 341 say that. I'm glad it went smoothly.

Sounds like it is moving in the right direction. It will take at least 60 days after your 341 to get your discharge. Depending on the procedures in your court, you may get the discharge on day 61 or it could take a little while longer.
