Collection agency attempting to collect a discharged debt

We filed Chapter 7 in October 2014 and received our discharge in January 2015. Among the debts listed in both the petition and the discharge paperwork was a $72 medical debt.

We just received a letter in the mail from a collection agency attempting to collect the debt. I called them and they refused to even speak to me because the debt is in my wife's name.

I'm going to get my wife to call them, but is there any thing else I should do? Should I also send them our discharge paperwork in the mail?

Yes, your wife should send a letter including a copy of the discharge order. Here's a good sample letter: https://allmandlaw.com/bankruptcy/wh...n-a-bankruptcy

Filed Chap 13 April 2010. Discharged May 2015.
$143,000 in debt discharged for $36,500, including attorneys fees. Money well spent!
