Wow, this gets confusing.

I think that the only way to settle it is to go ahead and write to each bank and ask for the records and copies of deeds.

Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.

you should be able to go online at your county recorder and order copies online. In fact you can see the list of documents under your name and the dates recorded . i know here in Riv. county, I can see all documents ever recorded, including leins against my prior properties, you can order, put it in a shopping cart and pay at checkout

Thanks, I am trying to figure out a strategy to use this to my advantage.

My house IS marginally under water depending on whom you speak with.

What I don't want to do is cause anything to make a modification more difficult.

albacore, lien positions can change if there is a subordination agreement- its not always the date.

Once you lose everything you're free to do anything.

I am no sure what the situation is as WF said that they did not ask for a subordination agreement, Wach says that they are in first.

I spoke with a partner of mine who is a mortgage broker and he told me that it is RECORDING time and date.

If one beats the other by a mere minute they are in first.

I have a property report that shows that WF recorded before World Savings so maybe they ARE in first.

He told me that it helps my cause woith Wachovia by the WF amount which is $50,000.

Lets see what happens next.

Very fortunate in the grand scheme of things but have learned my lesson.
