Experian is altering my credit report! help

I have 2 credit reports
1. Dated September 2009
2. Dated October 2009

from Experian

For account 123:
1 shows a Reported Since date of Mar 2004
2 shows a Reported Since date of Feb 2008

the account was charged off!
Second, the Charged Off date

1 shows Dec 2007
2 shows Feb 2008

how can this account be charged off twice?

Has anyone else noticed this when comparing reports side by side?

Well with the second one they are only reporting since February 2008. For #1 it appears that account starting showing on that credit report in 3/04 and the charge off date for the account is 12/07 and at that time it was not reported to CRA #2. Effective 2/08 it has been being reported. Pretty simple.

This is considered a reaging of the accounts and it is a violation. The first thing to do is dispute directly with each CRA (CMRRR). If they will not correct, then dispute with the data furnisher. If it is still not corrected you can try one more dispute letter to the CRA asking their method of verification.

If it is still not corrected, sue them.

I see now...the way your posting was worded I took it that you had two credit reports from two different agencies for a single account but were discussing the Experian one only...StartingOver08 is correct - you need to dispute.
