How can I view soft pulls at myfico?

I know they don't affect my credit, that's not the reason I'm interested.

My wife just had a great job interview...but she hasn't heard back and I'm wondering if they did a soft pull to check us out...and saw our CH7...and freaked.

At MyFico, the "inquiries" tab only shows hard pulls...and there aren't any. How can I see the soft ones? Do I have any right to know who's arbitrarily digging thru my laundry?

Soft pulls always show up when you obtain a credit report. I am not sure how MyFico is set up for that but contact their customer service and ask if it is part of the deal of you signing up. If the prospective employer pulled her report, it will be there.

Your FreeReports always have a list of the inquiries on your credit report. MyFico is about credit scoring, they are not, by them self, a credit reporting agency. In fact, as the consumer, you are the ONLY person that ever actually sees the Soft Pulls. Soft Pulls are not part of the credit report that goes to businesses.

      Incidentally, why do you care?

Keep in mind, with soft pulls, the lender doing the pull usually does NOT actually see your credit report. With a soft pull, the Credit Reporting Agency is sending basic profile information. For example, Chase will request everyone with more than 2 credit cards that lives in CO. The CRA will send Chase a list, name and address, of everyone that meets that criteria. If you were on that list, the CRA would note that Chase did a soft pull of your account. So, typically, a soft pull simply means you meet the search profile criteria for what ever the creditor was requesting and that creditor received your some basic information about you, but usually NOT the entire credit report.

Also, Soft Pulls have NO EFFECT on your credit.

Thanks HHM, always great to have your input. Again, I'm just trying to determine if an (prospective) employer pulled our credit.

HR Depts are pulling credit more and more nowadays, just trying if these folks did it.

Update: Just called Myfico. As others above have suggested, Myfico does NOT SHOW soft pulls. If you want to track soft pulls you must get a full report directly from one of the bureaus etc.

Those types of pulls would be "hard pulls". Employers need your authorization to pull a credit report. A credit report pull with customer authorization is a hard pull.

My wife got the job offer, with no pulls! Yay!
Now I just have to survive the 2 weeks before she starts.
