    Question about Trustee reopening case

I know the Trustee has a year to reopen your case if need be. But if he reopens it would it have to do with something when you filed or after your discharge? I mean how careful do you have to be after your discharge? Can you start saving money in your bank accounts?

Calm Down - Don't "freak out".

Trustee could re-open if he discovers something that your hiding (such as land deed, or you hit the lotto. Then you would be able to pay some to your creditors.

Don't worry, most people never have any problems after discharge.......

But I would be spending big bucks for new cars, houses, cause he'll sure want to know where you found "your money". Wait at least a year - besides "nobody" is going to loan you much for at least 2 years and until your credit score gets back up.

    Good Luck,

My suggestions are from "personal experience" and research only. Do not consider this as legal advice. Each bankruptcy case is different.

I know like if we win the lottery or inherit a huge amount but can we start saving money in the bank. We need a new roof in the next year and thats going to cost around $5000. Does the Trustee look at the money you have in your accounts after your discharge or I think I read that what you make after your bankruptcy the trustee cant really say anything about.

Yes, you can start saving money, basically, you should live your life as normal after the discharge.
