    Should I dispute this item?

Before my bankruptcy I tried a trial gym membership to Ballys fitness, they wanted me to sign a contract but I refused, decided that the trial is all I wanted there. They sent my account to a collection agency, they refused to send me a copy of the contract because I told them they didnt have a signature on file.

Well during the bankruptcy it was written off and is gone now....however if I was to remove it now and dispute it would it help increase my credit anymore? Also my bankruptcy is discharged already, any chance it could hurt my discharge and possibly make it reopen my case?

My opinion, more trouble than it would be worth. It's a known 'givin' that those gyms are scams. 'Hub

      I'm not clear on this.
Were they not listed as a debtor when you filed bankruptcy? Did you not know about this debt then?

Either way, if you are a no asset case and were discharged, that debt is also discharged and yes I would dispute it.

You should dispute ALL incorrect info from your credit report and if you are discharged in a Ch. 7, then that debt is also discharged. And I am pretty sure they cannot open your case back up for that!
