Do they look at what you charged on your credit card?

I know within 6 months or so of filing they would look at all your charges but what about before then? Are they going to ask me when they look at my assets where the so and so is that I had charged a year ago if they don't see it on my assets. The reason that I am asking is we sold a bunch of stuff within the last year trying to keep our heads above water and I don't have proof of that. I had garage sells mostly but also sold some stuff on ebay. I used that money for living expenses and to pay bills. Are they going to look that close at the things you bought on credit to see if you list them all?

Your attorney will probably ask you if you made certain charges or cash withdrawals on any of your credit cards over a certain amount over the previous several months (we were asked for 12 months). The same will be asked as to your bank accounts - you may be asked to provide information on all deposits, cash withdrawals or payments over a certain amount. This would also include your Paypal account if you have one as all Trustees and attorneys are aware of Paypal. Be honest and open about any of the above. Many people sell personal items or have garage sales prior to filing trying to pay bills or survive. What they are looking for is the filer trying to hide cash, property or assets which is easily traceable now in today's world.

Then there will be no issue if he is getting paid. You can pay the attorney fees and other priority debts with the funds.
