    Put the Tree up Today

I always had a real tree growing up, but w/ the mess, etc. DH talked me into artificial a few years ago. I think this is the 3rd or 4th year we've used it so we've certainly saved $$. Its a good one, has a couple more years left I think.

The kids helped-put the lights & garland on today and will do ornaments tomorrow.

I love a real tree too. When I got married 6 years ago, my new husband bought a very pretty artificial tree. My son, when he saw it,made the comment that my ex boyfriend and I always had a real tree and that was what I like (which is true), so I profess "love" each year for this tree, because I love my husband.
When my grandson gets here today, we, too, will put up the tree. He just turned three and his untarnished excitement is wonderful and catching. (Glad lightening doesn't live close, he would find a reason to "strike" this too.)
My son and husband normally put the tree together, the lights of course, and most of the decorations, (then we they aren't around, I always move many of the ornaments, can't help it.)
I'll be watching, you may never know when or how, but I'll be there. I am there now....

Ours is a Walmart tree, we got it for a good price and it looks really good. Since DH does most of the cleanup, and real trees are messy, I didn't complain too much.

We're putting off the ornaments til tomorrow. DH is off tomorrow night & can be involved! He is planning to make cookies w/ the kids tomorrow afternoon also.

Tree is up, lights on it. House a mess with all the Christmas boxes of decorations out. Had a large time today, was off and wll be off tommarrow. Then I have 2 nights of teaching extra to do.
Love this time of year. I am extra aware of all my many blessings. Miss my father more than usual.

Our ree has been up, house been decorated, and 99% of shopping done since Thanksgiving. Gee can you tell I had the end of November as a deadline..LOL

Now we sit and relax and enjoy the season...LOL we have to make cookies still, visit santa, and get 2 more gifts , but have to wait for hubby's next check.

Our tree is a Walmart one also, it is a 7 1/2 foot some mountian spuce thing...LOL we got it 7 years ago for only $75..the only complaint I have is that it is not pre lit..I hate those #$%^&* lights....LOL I LOVE the smell of a real one and miss that, but not the needles..LOL

Yes, the smell of the real tree is wonderful, but let me say that I absolutely hope that this is the last year of going through the H*** of putting up a real tree. Let's just say that we have already picked it up out of the floor twice in an effort to get it turned to the prettiest, fullest side!!!! I am sure there are needles in my house from ten years ago and the older we get the more difficult this entire process is

Oh well, it is up, not the prettiest one we have ever had and we basically let our 9 yr old granddaughter put the ornaments on ..... hmmmmm. What can I say, this is a stressful time right now with the BK and DH's health in limbo.

Lots to be greatful for though and at least that damn tree is FINALLY up

Those car air fresheners? Does it really smell like pine? A nice fresh pine ?

I don't want our tree to smell like some nasty taxi cab...LOL

                      Okay Folks,
I'm back in the Christmas Spirit again!!!!!! Never lost the spirit, just couldn't decorate anything till I knew I had my home back.......

Got my home back - front yard is decorated with nativity scene, etc......

Tree goes up tonite - HUGE 7 1/2 footer..... bought it a few years back - looks so real you have to touch it to check for sure.......

Regarding your tree smelling like Christmas - you can buy the pine smelling sprays now or even cedar if you like... they are great - just don't over-do or your about choke to death on it..... (spray your tree -when the lights get warm the secent gets stronger)....

Cinnamon and spice spray smells great on the tree too!! Also put a piece of cinnamon stick in your fireplace when you build a fire - SMELLS GREAT all evening..........

I love Christmas, (really I'm a kid at heart).

This year has been a really hard one but God has took care of me and I count my Blessings each and every day.....

Good ideas, thanks Minny! We haven't been able to find the scent/spray in stores, but have scented candles. The cinnamon in the fireplace is brilliant!

Before my grandson's eyes were open, he woke up saying, "Got to decorate the tree." Wish he wouldn't grow up anymore or at least go realllly slowllllllly.
Still need to do some more decorating. Really feeling the spirit. The spirit from within and above!!!!!
