How do they/I determine the value of:

How do they/I determine the value of items I intend to keep under my exemptions?
Like My computer, TV, Gun, Desk, etc etc.

Do I just guess or do I have to have them appraised. I do have all the receipts and none of them were purchased on a secure credit card so I just need to know how they/I am supposed to determine the value.

You do not need to have them appraised. Value them all at what you would get if you sold them at a local garage sale. Chances are because computers are worth so little right after you buy them, you wouldn't get much of anything even if its brand new. Same with the TV, desk and any furniture of any sort. The gun I'm not sure of. Just ask yourself, how much would I put on this if I didn't want it anymore and wanted to sell it as cheap as possible. That's pretty much the standard for everything. Good luck.
