    Car insurance...............

This might not be here on the proper topics area, and if not, please re-route it.
It has been widely known that car insurers - in some states - are allowed to base policy premiums also on a person's credit score/rating.
    Which states prohibit this?

Here's a list of state laws governing insurance scoring practices - check out the 4th column - http://www.namic.org/reports/credith...creditlaws.asp

Many states now have restrictions and procedures that must be followed by all insurance companies operating in their state in order to use your credit rating as a part of their other predictors to set your rate.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
