Yesterday, I was driving into wal mart, and near by, there was a small non-franchised dealer. They had a really nice Saturn Aura that caught my ye. Up close, i was more expensive that our 15 k price range, so I looked at a bunch of stuff, and found a 2007 Chevy HHR, navy blue, with 30k miles on it. We ended up getting it for 15 k even out the door. Our rate sucks, at 19%, and the payment is $362 for 5 years. It's not the best rate or anything, but it's a start. The car is loaded, andl ooks great. We want to pay it down as much as possible in the next 6-8 months, continue cleaning out credit, and maybe get a refi with USAA, our bank. I'm happy, though...no more renting cars when we have to go to San Antonio for medical appointments (6 hours away!)
