repossession + capital one blank check

How many of you have got a capital one blank check after your discharge with a repossession? I also have a capital one card on my list that kinda makes me worry that I won't get approved. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to get a loan with my repo even after my discharge. I've already applied just to see if I could get it and I got denied. My 341 meeting is next friday (3/28).

*EDIT* And another thing...... am I gonna have to wait until my discharge to be able to get a loan or will I be able to get one after the 341 meeting? I'd like to get one from Cap One or Roadloans but like I said, I already got denied from Cap One.

You shouldn't take new debt prior to discharge, and if you can get financed afgter the 341, it probably won't be pretty. Can you do 722 Redemption?

nope. my car is a 94 and has 170,000 miles. it's starting to look like i'm gonna have to wait until my discharge but that's gonna be a long wait. i think i'm just gonna get crappy deals until i have my discharge. :sigh:

but the good thing about that is, by the time i get my discharge, i'll probably have that $600 check that everyone is gonna be getting and i can use that towards a down payment.

You got it You are definitely better off waiing if you can. then, pull your reports and make sure stuff is reporting correctly, becuause that can mean the difference between an approval or denial.

ok so is there a thread on here about how to clean up your credit report? i know you sign up with some credit management site or something but i don't know the full details. does cleaning up your credit report mean having debtors removed after your discharge or what?

You should make sure that all accounts are reporting a zero balance and state 'included in bk' Take a look at www.creditboards.com/forums for info. I'm not anything to that site, but I've been reading a lot there and there's tons of good info and sample letters.
