Any luck having reaffirmed car loans/leases continue to report to CBA?

We have a loan through Citifinancial Auto and a lease through Ford Credit. Would like to reaffirm both as they are good cars and since we had been late a couple of times on them, we wouldn't be able to qualify for a cheaper car loan anyway.

Has anyone had any luck with their reaffirmed loans/leases continuing to get reported to CB's? I would love to have the positive history to help re-build credit so that when we do have to get new cars we're not raped by a 20% rate.

BTTT.... I am interested in more thoughts on this. I have a truck that I am not sure whether or not to reaffirm on. We owe $8300 on it and it is scheduled to be paid off in 26 months.

I would rather not have a car payment and am considering surrendering it and then buying an older car for cash and/or dealer financed (buy here/pay here). No more than $3500 car though. Something to get me around for a few years.

Unless the reaffirmation agreement specifically stipulates that reporting will continue, it will be hit or miss relative to the car finance companies reporting your account accurately.

I am also interested in this. We reaffirmed our Escalade @ $20K. We know in 2 years, we want to build a home and I'm wondering, if it doesn't report on our credit report, will this be included in our debt to income ratio when we try to get a loan?
