Finally a dealership came thur for us!

We finally got a new vehicle! We were needing more room and decided to go with Kia with the great offers, plus another dealership gave us a quote so the dealership we went to ended up matching it plus the great cash back!
We walked away with a Kia Sorento 2008 with 20 miles on it, MSRP 22K, We paid 15K for it plus put 2K down on it. Our interest is 18% at 410.00 a month but within a year looking to finance..plus we financed it for 5 years.
My husband and I work at the same place so we ride together, plus I have 2 additional part time jobs now so the note is no problem now...just wanting to rebuild our credit so maybe 2-4 yrs from now we can buy a home of our own again.
No one like the CapitalOne Blank Check or HSBC would come thur for us, it was a local bank Crescent Bank and Trust.

Congratulations on your new vehicle. Now you don't have to worry about reliability and all that. It's also great that you both can go to work together with the price of gas and all.

Not to burst your bubbles... You'll love those cars until it comes time to change the spark plugs or get the timing belts changed. I used to have one and it ran great. I will never buy another vehicle that is difficult to maintain ever again. On the Sorento they have to remove the intake manifold to get to the spark plugs. For the life of me, I don't know why anyone would engineer an engine that way.

Go ahead and call any Kia dealer and ask for a spark plug change. It's normally like $600.

It's much better to find vehicles that have timing chains instead of timing belts. Many of your Nissan's, Toyota, Honda's, Kia's, Hyundai's all use timing belts that typically need to be replaced every 60,000 miles. Many GM cars (as much as I don't want one) use timing chains that last a very long time before having to replace.
