capital one or any "blank check" auto financing

I am new to these boards and keep seeing people who were sent these checks for auto loans. Once we pick ourselves up after discharge, and get on track with a budget, we will be in need of another car, my son will have his license in a few months. Has anyone who has received these Capital One offers had capital one credit cards in their bankruptcies? Just curious because we had two.

I did and got a Cap 1 blank check loan. I wife and I applied jointly {she didn't file} and we used her as primary but, used my bank account info.
Reason for the cosigner- I got denied twice locally and the adverse action letter cited "recent bk". At the time, I was about 6 weeks short of the 2 year mark of my filing date.

I have not filed BK yet but my credit took a hit due to 2 late mortgage payments (late by a matter of days).

I am in the process of buying a new car (mine is old and I need to get one before filing).

I am looking at a Used, 2008 for about $15k.

Our credit union that we used to finance our current car and truck (never late on payments) quoted us 11.49% for 60 mos!!!!!!

We applied online and Cap One yesterday offered 6.44% for 72 mos. (I'd rather do 60 mos but my husband says - we can always pay more if we have the $.) "Blank Check" is in the mail.

So in my experience, they are more forgiving of lower credit scores. (Ours are low-mid 600's). Can't speak to the BK though.

We were discharged in January of this year, so about 6 months. We just got approved for $27000 loan at 7.7% for four years. We may or may not use it, I think we will also try the dealership just in case. Planning on using no more than $15000 however.

I got the blank check from Capital Auto last month. I needed a cosigner. You can pay off the balance early with no prepayment penalities.

I got a 5 year loan. But I anticipate being able to pay it down in maybe 3 years.

I used RoadLoans when I was looking for financing. They approved me and sent me a check last week. The check said JP Morgan Chase on it. I could not believe it because Chase just charged off my $150,000 HELOC in June 2008.

I wound up NOT using the RoadLoans check, but that was pretty crazy!

All that means is Road Loans banks with JP Morgan Chase.

I have not filed yet... I am trying to get rid of the homes first before I file...
