Well I hope you have $2500 cash.
My best friend just was approved through Cap. One, she has good credit (690), no bk or anything. She was approved for $30,000 blank check. She did get an ok rate, 7.9%. I say ok because banks around here are anywhere from 5%-11%, so shes right smack in the middle there.
We went car shopping, she found a 2008 Grand Prix for $14,000. She filled out the blank check, signed paperwork - DOH - Capital One needs 10% down, cash, period. The dealership dropped the price of the car, and she was able to put $1000 down. The dealership has to call Cap. One and get an approval before they deposit the check, thats when she found out about the 90% financing deal from Cap. One.
Dont get too excited yet. They dont tell you that on the phone or on the web

Congratulations,
We just purchased a car using a capital one blank check, we were approved for 30K at 6% for 60 months on a 2008 vehicle. The interest rate was determined by the year of the vehicle. It was so simple and easy, we did not have to put any money down our check was good for 110% of the price of the car so we were able to roll in all of the taxes and fees. We purchased a 2008 minivan with 5K miles on it for 17K we love it.Filed 2/3/09
341 Meeting 3/31/09

actually i am more excited that i am in the position to be approved for so much money having just came out of BK in august. Although it would be nice to have a nice car, I am not too excited to purchase any car at this time. But the one I have now wasnt starting and I need a car for work especially now in the winter. So buying a car is still a toss up for me.

These are some of the stipulations:
The vehicle must have a loan-to-value (LTV) that is less than or equal to 110% of the invoice for new vehicles or 110% of NADA wholesale/trade-in for used vehicles. New vehicles are defined as vehicles that have never been titled, are the current or next year's model, and have fewer than 6,000 miles.
The vehicle is a 2001 model or newer.
The odometer reading does not exceed 70,000 miles.
The following vehicles are not eligible for financing: vehicles from independent used car dealers or auto brokers, motor homes, RVs, ATVs, motorcycles, commercial vehicles, boats, amphibious vehicles, taxis, limousines, camper vans, tow trucks, vehicles with greater than 1 ton payload capacity, freight liners, tractor trailers, dump trucks, armored vehicles, conversion vans, kit cars, junk, branded, or salvaged title vehicles, lemon vehicles, gray market vehicles, or other recreational vehicles that do not have a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or title issued to it.

I am happy for you and I hope I find myself in the same situation post-bk
My friend is really loving her 08 Grand Prix that she bought with capital one black check loan. She was surprised at the 10% down payment they wanted at the 11th hour, but it was merely a minor speedbump.
Again, send some of your good vibes my way
Im going to need them in a month or two...

Thats because she probably went over her Loan-to-Value ratio. mine is 110% and the car I am getting, everything with tax came out to be about 102%. The thing is trying to get a car that is under NADA or KBB, depending on where you live. I live in NY and with any car i purchase, the taxes and fees will always b over 10%.....which will go over the 110% loan to value.Originally posted by Intoodeep80 View PostI am happy for you and I hope I find myself in the same situation post-bk
