    Oh boy.

We are giving back both of our cars since we are way to upside down on them. Our lawyer said we could get a new vehicle after we file but may need to shop around. I emailed some dealers that have the vehicle we need (I say need because I pull a trailer for work), one said we have to wait until we are discharged and even then it will be difficult to get a loan. A couple of others said they can help. But I am scared that we are going to not be able to find any one to help and we are not going to have a vehicle.

It's not that you won't fing help. Auto loans are not that difficult to acquire after BK. The current credit/lending crisis doesn't help much though. In any case, it can be done. You have to be diligent and shop around. If you can have down payment, that helps. What you want to avoid is borrowing more than the vehicle's value (that includes taxes and fees). You can find out how much the bank will lend by simply calling around (to local banks) and ask what's the maximum loan amount. You already know which vehicle you would like to have, so you can give the bank(s) that info. That will help you get an idea of what you need to do and what you need to come to the bargaining table with.
