So when I bought by car in Novermber of 2003 i had just about at 680 credit score. Without getting into details, I am now on the verge of BK. I have about 7 revolving CC accounts totalling about 22K, which I have now stopped paying, some are only 2 months past due, others 4-5 months. I was wondering what my credit score would be after filing BK. I feer that it may be as low as 300-something, in which case it would totally suck.
How long, with hard work, would it take to raise my score back into a decent range? I plan to get a secured card, pay my student loans, take out small secured loans at banks, all in efforts to drastically improve my score as much as possible as soon as possible.
Also, I noticed two accounts I have, 1 credit card, 1 car loan have my name misspelled on my accounts. After my BK when I review my credit report see if I have any disputes, can I dispute things if the name on the accounts to exactly match mine? Just curious.
