Can't get companies to report correctly

Frustrations to no end!!! I was discharged in March of this year and I have been working to get my credit reports cleaned up. I've got a duplicate account showing 'late 30 days'. This account was closed and paid off over 3 years ago. I've disputed 3 times now and it keeps coming back as verified, no changes. Wanna guess who??? Washington Mutual. WAMU got this mortgage when they bought Homeside Lending. I call WAMU and they have no record of my mortgage!!! If that's true how the hell can they verify the info?!?!?! And to make matters worse.. I can't find who the registered agent for WAMU is in Michigan. I'm going to send WAMU a letter to demand they correct the account. I'll give them a short period of time and if they don't, I'm suing them in small claims court. I have the same situation with a few other creditors and I'll follow the same course of action.

Anyone else have these problems? Anyone have a copy of some successful letters that they wrote to the creditor?

    Just starting

I'm having problems with our local credit union. We had a line of credit, credit card, and a personal loan. The pl shows us being late on all three bureaus. Calling the cu person handling this on Monday. They verified it was correct when I had disputed it with Equifax even though the loan was included in the BK7 and discharged. It's frustrating.

Another thing that really irritates me is when one disputes something and it comes back as worse than before. AND, is still wrong!!?!! I guess this is a marathon and not a quick fix.

        Got a call

My wife answered the phone and the credit union calls us acting non-understanding when she explains all three credit bureaus are showing our personal loan not being included in our bankruptcy (when it was) and 180 days late. He explains: "well yes it was included in the bankruptcy but we never got our money" ?!? What an _ _ _. Why did they report back after Experian's investigation the same thing? He didn't know but will call us tomorrow on it. Funny when he was out last week everyone there told me he is the only one dealing with bankruptcies but now he doesn't know who reported back the wrong information.

You might want to hire a professional attorney to dispute issues on your credit reports. I've been working with a law firm I learned about during Stephan Synders seminar and they have been doing a great job!

You will get a discount to use their law services when you attend the seminar, otherwise it will cost like $80 a month. It's been well worth the money I've spent so far.

Lexington Lawfirm is also a decent credit repair firm. Not sure of the website but do a Google search on them to get it.
