According to Credit Report Facts at http://www.creditrepairsite.com/creditreportsFAQs.html , here are the reporting rules set forth by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA):
    1. Most negative items must be taken off in no more than seven years.
    2. Ch 7 bankruptcies can be reported in up to ten years, Ch 13 for seven years.
    3. Inquiries may remain on the credit report for up to two years.
