Target card online appl. question...

I just read how someone received the APPROVED update 10 min. after applying online, but yet for us it showed 'further processing'. I just tried to check the status again and it noted that I've already been informed of the further processing status and again the mention that I'll hear in 10-14 business days.

Now I did apply online on SAT. and today is only Mon, so maybe that's why I haven't heard yet. Or is this a sign that we are not approved?

How quickly did you get your response from Target?

I also applied online to Orchard Bank (opted for $200 dep. secured acct--good choice? only choice?), Hooters, & CCCU. Hooters being the only one in my name & my husband being the added user (I think it offered that). On 2 of the 3 others, I selected myself as an authorized user. Crossing my fingers!

When I applied for Target, I got an approval in 15 minutes. When I applied for my husband, he got the pended status and today he got the denial letter in the mail. So in my experience I would say probably denied but you never know.

I got the 'further processing' response, and three days later they called me to confirm some information. After I confirmed my name, address, ss# and mother's maiden - she said "Thank you. Your confirmation will be in the mail in a few days. Do you have any questions?" So I said, Yes - by 'confirmation' is that a positive thing? She said "Yes, you've been approved"...and a few days later my Red200 arrived in the mail! Shuxx! I immediately called for a CLI, but was told they prefer "a year" before granting CLI's.....I'm going to charge a couple of pair of socks on it to line the drawer so the little feller will have a soft place to rest while he's in there....
