I have two different collectors calling (for separate accounts) for debts that were filed for in Sept 2005 and discharged Chapter 7 in March 2006 (filed under the old laws.) All of the creditors were notified of the bankruptcy via the court, so they forwarded on the debts to collection agencies even though they were discharged. Any thoughts on what I could do to handle this?

If you still have your discharge papers, I'd get copies and mail to each of the collectors. If they call give them your case #, lawyer, chapter filed, and discharge date. Tell them the debts were included and not to bother you any further.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer

Yep! Yep!
Debts Discharged in BK come under a permanent injunction. The Collectors calling you are violating that injunction.
Next time they call, tell then when and where you filed, Chapter, your case number, and your attny's contact info. That should prevent any future calls from those particular Creditors.Filed Ch 7 - 09/06
Discharged - 12/2006
Officially Declared No Asset - 03/2007
Closed - 04/2007
