To my huge , unpleasant surprise, I just notced that on my Equifax credit report all the 10 creditors that I filed my Chapter 7 on in July, 2004, have it reported as being filed in February 2006The "Public Record" indicates as having been filed on July 9, 2004, and the date of discharge being October 21.
Naturally I printed out these accounts, and a copy of the Public Records section, and will send a letter disputing the 2006 dates and asking them to correct these dates.
Data entry by Equifax or creditors lying their a... off??
2 Chase cards
2 Discover cards
One Bank of America card
One credit union auto loan
One credit union credit card
One Wells Fargo loan
One Wamu/Providian card
One First Premier card.
If not an Equifax data entry error - whoever did it must have been drunk or smoking something other than a cigarette, then all those creditors must be illegally re-aging the actual dates.
