    Citibank, BofA, Chase etc.

Although I have done fine establishing credit through new cards, I am wondering what it would take to get credit with any of the banks known as "not bk friendly" My FICO is currently over 720, and I would be able to get one of these cards 2 years ago without a problem.

Does anybody have experience with the banks listed? Does anybody have a good experience with the banks listed?

I recently cancelled my Orchard bank card (i requested it closed, but have not received confirmation) and am planning to replace it with a Citi bank or other. I have stayed away until this point.

Is FICO score enough to get past the bk for lenders?

    Thanks for your help.

If you listed any of those creditors in your bankruptcy, you may find you may never be able to get credit with them again. They are not BK friendly. If you did not list them in your bankruptcy, you may have to wait until the BK is off of your credit reports for them to issue you credit. While they were picky before with the economy the way it is today they will be even more extremely picky now. It's not your FICO score, it's the BK on your credit reports that is the negative. To some creditors, it is like a red flag waiving while others are a bit more lenient and will extend you credit. Unfortunately, that is the credit world.

They - Citi, B Of A, and Chase, not even Discover - will ever again give you another credit card, even though you might not have included them in your bankruptcy. They will look at your credit reports, see any filings on them - you're history with them. Their take is that once you're a deadbeat you will always be one. Doesn't matter one bit - to them - that ever since you filed you might have perfectly rebuilt your credit with others.

Yeah, I was afraid of that. I have gotten pre-approved offers from Chase, B of A, and Discover but have not replied since pre-approved really doesn't mean squat.

I included Citi in my bk, I used that card for my business to the tune of about $4,000. Not a huge amount, but enough to not be considered again.

One of these days things will get back to where they wer before...Maybe in 10 years (9 more to go!)
