    Is it big deal ?

I only filed few days ago, so nothing major on my c-history that I need to dispute.
However, Experian has some address listed in there that I never lived at. They got the town right, but address is wrong. Also, work name is also wrong. The other agency, has my original name and then below that they misspelled my name. I know thats due to furniture store misspelling my name when I got the credit there. My question is, are these big things I need to go after or just let it go ?

you want everything to be as accurate as possible. I disputed an employment entry with transunion and they corrected over the phone. With this simple correction, they sent me an updated credit report for free. I think that everything should be correct/

This is a good question. I just finally had the guts to look at my credit report a few days ago. Target has always had a mispelling of my first name (was on the card) and it is not a common mispelling...it is only one letter but changes the name entirely.

My credit report reports that I am "also known as" this stupidly mispelled name....damn, do I need to worry about that? &^$#()&^%#$&)#@&$ I don't need another damn thing to worry about.

Also, since we're already at it. This is separate from my above post and does not change the facts of that, but I have spelled my name differently than what my given name since I was 12. So my driver's license, taxes, and SS card are the only documents that are spelled with my name the way it is on my birth certificate. I'm talking first name only. Now I am wondering if I must do something about that too!???

I'll wait until my BK is done and then I'll pull my history and start calling however is not reporting on it the way it should. I'll lay it to rest for now..

Names and addresses don't matter. There could be a hundred and it won't affect your score. If a mispelled name isn't adding a tradeline that isn't yours don't sweat it. Same goes for employment history, don't sweat it. Actually, if you have collectors that you're trying avoid having this mismatch of info may play out in your favor. If you're trying to get your credit squared away all you really need to pay attention to is the current information.

As Wayne posted, you can get a free report when they make a change to your report. File disputes one at a time over a few months to avoid having to pay for reports.
