Got my Capital One Card yesterday!

So I was approved for CapOne Platinum Mastercard, but I didn't know the limit or anything.

Well I got my card in the mail and the limit is $300. Of course, that is considered small, but for me, that's all I need to start rebuilding my credit.

I was approved from Orchard Bank but when they tried to run the $19 advance fee through my checking acct, the numbers were off so they told me I had to reapply or send in the $19. I decided to just leave them alone and focus on the CapOne. My gut is telling me so!

congratulations on your card. use it a little and pay it off each month and you will be rebuilding faster than you know it.

Consider sending in the $19. If they have already approved you that means they will have run a hard inquiry on your credit report. This will remain for two years.

I applied for a Wa Mu card a few months ago.........was approved but did'nt bother taking it up. Then I realised another card would hepl me build the scores, so I applied again. I was approved for $3000 but now my report shows two hard inquiries. I wish I had finished the process the first time.

Having more than one cc will help you build your scores, assuming you use them properly.

Wow, I didn't think about it that way. Good point.
