What is the difference between Credit scores, FAKO and FICO scores?
There are no dumb questions - glad you asked!
As Cali said, FICO are your real credit scores. The only place you can get your real FICO score is by paying Fair Issac Corporation who originated them - http://www.myfico.com/?LPID=ficorp3 . These are the scores that are pulled by potential lenders.
FAKO scores are what you get when you pay the credit agencies for "scores". Equifax's ScorePower, Experian's PLUS score, and Transunion's Credit score are just the credit bureau's guesses at what your FICO score should be.
I am not a lawyer and this is not legal advice nor a statement of the law - only a lawyer can provide those.
