Since getting discharged I have been able to clean up most on mine and my husbands credit reports, a few are pending hopefully will be off in the next month. We still have a 300 limit CC with our local credit union that survived the bk (I'm not asking for an increase right now, afraid of cancellation). I've also got one from Orchard Bank for each of us (husband 300 limit with 14.9% 59 annual fee and mine is 300 limit with 8.9% and 96 annual fee divided by the month) and the last one I've gotten was Crown Jewelry for limit of 1500.00..I don't think I will ever buy that much, I purchased a watch I was needing that is within my paying limit and eager for that to show up great on my report. I also have gotten a Best Buy Mastercard with a 300 limit that earns rewards back for items at Best Buy. I often go to Best Buy for items, but not for me for my work partners. So if I use the card instead of the cash, I can earn rewards for me. Plus get good credit reporting. Thats it for me, I'll work at these for 6months -1 year and see if I can get better offers or at least my score will jump.
Its hard trying to decide what to do, what to apply for. Don't get me wrong I miss having all credit lines but don't miss robbing peter to pay mary...know what i mean? So far now I use the cards mainly for gas and groceries and pay off the entire amount within a couple of weeks.
Plus, I do have an advantage on my reports, I'm an authorized user on my fatherinlaws HomeDepot account since the passing of his wife, the account is in great status since 1998 with a limit of 2500. This gave me a boost on my scores since being added.

Good luck to all rebuilding your credit! I'm wanting to get my home back. I had to sell our newly built house after a year, because of having to move to care for elderly father in law. We did it out of love, but dearly miss our own house!
