Not sure if this helps or not but within less than 30 days of getting my discharge I was able to turn in my lease early and lease a brand new $30k car with no money down through GMAC. My previous vehicle was through them and I had never been late with them, even with filing Ch. 7. Pymts are a little higher but that is b/c I put nothing down and had a small amount of negative equity due to mileage. So its possible to get financed soon after. It's not a car loan but its something.

I was in the same situation, but with BMW Financial.
I had never been late on my payments and in the end they
said since they're were included in the BK I did not qualify for a lease,
period. That had more weight than my payment history!
So, they approved me to purchased my leased car but
refused to lease me a new one, even though the amount
to be financed in the purchased was way more!Comment
