So, yesterday, I got our credit reports online...all 6 of them through annualcreditreport.com.
I have Chase reporting that we were 30 days late. Our last payment was due 3-2 and we filed 3-22. Does that qualify for being 30 days late? I don't think it does, but wanted to ask.
We also have our GE Money bank say the same thing...again, payment was due 3-1.
US Bank, both of them, list a "charge off". Jerks! I disputed those 2 right away.
Here's the interesting part....My husband is the only person on our mortgage and on 2 of his reports, it has both parts of the mortgage listed. On one report, it says that it was included in bankruptcy with a zero balance. I disputed it, stating that we had a balance and that were paying as agreed. Should I have done that? We've never been late on the mortgage and I want to get credit for being on time!!
My husband also had hard inquires from Landsafe...on June 6 and July 18th. We called the 1-800 # listed on the credit report and they said they are part of Countrywide and that when we took out our mortgage we gave them authorization to look at our reports. Has anyone heard of this? We're not late with them, so this worries me that they'll keep checking our report and we'll take a hit.
Thanks!
