    Seemingly insurmountable task!!

I pulled all 3 CR's to begin our credit rebuilding. There were actually times I double checked to see if they had given me the right ones!!

Between the three of them, there are at least 100 errors. Wrong names (Like, instead of "John Smithson" (not our real name) they have Jonn Mithson, Johh Smthson, Jo Smothso, etc. Experian has ELEVEN other names!!) completely wrong addresses. A few credit cards are still reporting as derogotary as of this month, and we filed in March. Weirdly, one acct, that we havent paid in almost a year, is still showing as current, open and up to date on payments. Only one of our creditors is showing as IIB.

This is going to take me YEARS!!!

You may be wrong - it may not take that long to clean this up.
I had not hundreds, but dozens of wrong info on my credit reports 2 months after C7 discharge.

I disputed all of them ONLINE except for Equifax who for some reason demanded that I dispute via letter (that is, for some reason I could not access their site online to dispute).

The first time through most of the stuff was corrected. Of course I had to wait the full 30 days to see the final results. Most agreed with my dispute but there were a few who did not and kept listing me as "late", "charge off" etc.

So I disputed all again online, and this time at the end of that 30 days almost everything was completely right except for 2 accounts which were bad.

So it may not take as long as you think. Especially stuff like names and addresses - if you just send them proof of identity with the correct info, that usually does the trick, those are not that difficult to change in my experience. The ones that can be a problem are listings as "charged off" and/or "late".

      Persistence is the key.

However, as someone said in another thread, suddenly out of the blue, you can find new and wrong stuff on your report! So you have to keep checking it periodically in order to keep that bad stuff disputed.

Oh yes, and I also have one account that is reporting as "Paid On Time" "Good standing", when it was included in bankruptcy for over $7000! Go figure...
