    Transunion Credit report question

Ok my transunion score is crazy low. So when you review the "explanation" page. You know the one that tells you why your credit score sucks? Or is good. It shows I have had one recent late, that was from a closed account in 2004? It shows balance as zero, current status is 30 days past due, and then balance is zero again..WTH? Also its says I have 17 late payment or worse?

Then my BOA car that I still have and did not reaffirm shows a balance and never late. However under notes, not under status it says Chapter 7. SHould I contest that cuz it looks like its actually helping although im not sure.

Then here comes an issue i think ...Most of My accounts that are included in my bankruptcy show this. I think its hurting my score and they dont late but they have a flag, which means its not on time

    Balance: Not reported
    Status: Unrated
    Past due Amount: Not reported
Under descriptions it says chapter 7

Last but not least a Collection

It was added after I filed, actually a month before discharge. It nowehere says IIB, it should right? And should it be listed as a collection or just a debt?

All of your debt should show IIB and zero balance for the active accounts that were in the bankruptcy.

The date should be as of the FILING date.

There should be no history reported after the filing date.

Yes, all those little issues hurt your score.

But you may have a big issue - Transunion has a problem with split files. Do you have accounts that you had paid off and are not showing on your report? If so, depending upon the length of time from payoff to now - you could have a separate file (same social sec number, but maybe a previous address). Transunion is notorius for this. The only way to find out is to contact them directly and get the files merged.

Starting over, Thank you Im not sure about old accounts that were positive. Ill have to look into that. Im going to dispute it, I tried online but I cant get the logon info from years ago straight. Should the collection show if they added it after I filed.

Don't do the online disputes - it really is better to do a letter CMRRR for your records.

No they can not add a collection after you filed for pre-petition debt. That is something you need to dispute. That is a violation.

If it is post petition debt, then they can add it.
