Other ways to build credit without a credit card?

My husband and I want to work on our credit, but not get any more credit cards. We purchased a used car with payments we can afford and wonder what else we can do to build the credit scores. I already went through and disputed things on credit report. So what should we do next??

If you have any utility bills that you have paid on time for two years, get a payment history from them and submit it to the bureau's.

The auto loan is a good start, but the truth is, time is your best healer. No one says you have to have an auto loan and more than one CC to establish credit or have good scores. However, not having enough of a credit history can lower your credit worthiness in the future, so keep that in mind.

If in the future, you see that needing more credit history is needed, then you might consider another CC then, but for now, let time heal your credit.
