    just checked cr

Okay, under pay status of my cr, it ways late 150 days and chargeoff/collection. Is this the part that should say IIB? Also, under condition, it says Derogatory under a few. Is this something that needs to be addressed? Thanks

Oh, and by the way, I have not been officially discharged yet! I have about 3 more weeks. Does that make a difference?

It should say 0 balance, and included in bankruptcy. Get them to clear all of that crap off of there!

TinRoof, How can it say that it "has 0 balance and is included in BK" of the BK has not yet been discharged? Art

          Art,
Several of mine say 0 balance and included in BK and I have not had my 341 yet so I have wondered the same thing.

Once your BK has been discharged.....you'll want all the accounts you listed in your petition, to reflect a "$0 -Balance" and state that the account was "BK'd".

Some creditors report well before hand. Some, as soon as they receive notice of filing!

I didn't realize in this case that the debt wasn't discharge.d

I personally don't recommend pulling the report until after discharge.

I've seen some people argue that posting a balance & payment due on the credit report is a method of trying to collect a debt, and since the automatic stay prohibits collection efforts, then updating to show 'BK' or $0 balance after receiving the intitial notice is the right way to do it.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

I know I should not pull my cr so soon, but I wanted to know where my credit stands before all this. So far, nothing looks TOO BAD! Our credit scores are still halfway decent (I am sure they will crash and burn once discharge occurs) I will keep checking periodically so I can move on and clean up my report. Thanks to all of you.
