We got a CLI with Cap One

We applied about a month after our discharge. They approved dh for $350. We've been using the card and paying in full every month. I just went online and saw that our new limit is now $500!

That's a step in the right direction!
4/09 Converted to a Ch 7 due to loss in dh's income
5/09 UST now involved no idea what happens next
7/09 UST has decided to withdraw his motion to dismiss!

I applied to CapOne about a week after discharge and was approved with a $500 limit!! Got a card for my husband about 2 weeks after discharge and he received a $1000 limit (don't know why so high), anyway, that's all we'll need to start rebuilding our credit.

      Congrats!! Now use it wisely

CapOne has a program called CreditSteps that most of their new accounts automatically become enrolled in. If you make your first three payments on-time and do not go over the limit, you'll get an automatic CLI. Then if you make the next three payments on-time after that, you'll get another CLI.

      DISCHARGED! - 10/15/08

We both applied and you know what? We filed BK together. They approved dh and denied me. There reason was I filed BK. Odd huh?

But dh added me to his card and now it reports on my credit also. That's all I really wanted to begin with.

That's good to know. I have made two payments on mine (paid balance in full both times). It would be nice to get a little increase before Christmas. I have been using our credit cards for our everyday expenses and then paying off the balances in full every month. It works out well because I am buying stuff we need/use anyways and I don't pay interest since I'm paying off the full balances!

That's what I do also. That way I'm not making new debt and still using the card and paying in full. It's worked perfectly for us.
