Just Discharged -- Need to pull reports

What is the best service to use to get all 3 reports and my FICO scores? Any suggestions/advice would be appreciated.

I am not too sure but I think that most posters go to either privacymatters.com or truecredit, I also think that I saw a credit watch from walmart. The price varies. Hope that helps

    Congrats on the discharge

Keep in mind for FICO, you need to go to myfico.com. For checking what is on your credit reports, and being able to check often, the 2 options are True Credit and Privacy Matters. Cost wise, PM is best if you have 2+ people in the household who need to keep up with their reports. If only 1, True Credit is best. (TC charges per person, PM charges per subscription/household.)

Also, if you get your free credit reports be sure and jot down the filing numbers, etc. so you can go back to them and check. It is the law so everyone should take advantage of getting your free reports.

Good point, but this won't allow you to pull updated versions to see what has changed. (Except for Experian, they don't limit you to 1 freebie per year.)

I pulled my Experian report last night from annualcreditreport.com.........did some disputing as well. All accounts that were included in bk, reported that, however my Chase accts had "petition for ch 7, 60 days late". The 60 days late was reported 11/2005, but we filed bk 10/12/2005. So disputing those. Also, I have an auto loan thru Bank of America, and it states "iib", and I didn't reaffirm as atty said just to keep paying them, and don't bother with reaffirmation. They aren't reporting a balance, and not reporting payments to Experian. Anyways, looks like for the most part, Experian is reporting correctly, just a few "minor" issues to see if they can be removed.

This is nothing to dispute, this is the proper way it should be reported. If you did not reaffirm the debt was discharged. Payments can only be reported if you had reaffirmed. The good part about not reaffirming is that you can walk away at any time and owe nothing.

Hi, I got discharged on Jan 31, 2006, what does case closed means?

Unfortunately my credit card companies are not reporting Bankruptcy properly, looks like it's going to be a long fight. I disputed two accounts, they are reporting as charged off, and I told them that it should be reported as in bankruptcy; however, thay are saying that they won't change it. Hmmmm

HighNDry-the case closing is a formal issue for most people. If the trustee is waiting on assets, your case won't be closed til that area is resolved.

Regarding your disputes, who are you disputing with and how?

                        Viper,

nah, nothing to dispute on this one. Want to keep the car, but wish they would report the payments on my credit reports so that it helps build my credit back up. Although someone attempted to steal the car a couple of weeks ago........now gotta spend almost $100 to fix the friggin lock.
