    When to start monitoring FICO?

    Ok my question is:
When should I start to checking my Fico score? In another year or now?

I'm 9 months paid on a 36 month plan. Both cars were buy downs in the plan and having pulled a credit report about 6 months ago I see that they are reporting the cars paid on time. Also my home I sold back in 03' shows 1 30 day late in 12 years. Lots of loans that are shown paid as promissed (something like that)

Will the car loans help bring the score up? I noticed they are being paid down quickly. I guess they get their money faster since they are secured.

Having accounts w/ good payment history, and no new negative marks, will help.

I wouldn't suggest monitoring your FICO too closely-unless you're getting ready to buy a house. If not, then it doesn't hurt to see where you stand now but would be a waste of money to buy new scores every month.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.
