    Amex authorize user

My mother made me an authorize user for AMEX. Does anyone know if they will report to the CB's? I also applied for Capitol One 2/24/06 and was denied. They didn't even offer a secured card. My scores not FICO is 580 TrueCredit, which I know isn't good. I guess I will locate a secured card and start from there. I was just discharged 1/26/06 from chapter13, so I know it will take some time. Just anxious. I guess after 3 years of paying debt, you want just a little more satisfaction. Any more fancy ideas. Thanks for all of the great post about rebuilding. I will keep you guys posted.

Was Cap1 in your bankruptcy? I don't know if they 'blacklist' or not. No info on AMEX, but if they do report it will probably show on your report within a month or so. (Just depends on when they report, since many do it 1 time each month.)

I'd say start on cleanup, and try for Orchard. Before running a full app, they'll let you know if you should go for the regular card, or the secured.
Most of my information is from personal experience or HOURS and HOURS of online research. When you're searching online, keep in mind there is no guarantee that the info is completely up to date, and your situation is unique from anyone else's. Do your homework, and consult with an attorney so you can make an informed decision.

Duh! Yes it was included in my bankruptcy. How could I have been so stupid to not pay that any attention. Now I have an inquiry on my credit report. And boy, they sure do report it fast. How long do you think I should wait before I apply for Orchard.

I'd say no reason to wait for the Orchard. Go ahead and try, their site will let you know if you're most likely to get the regular or secured card before you run the final application.
