    Unbelievable

Tell me if this does not sound like crapola to you. I have been having problems with NCO Finance since about 3 years ago. When I called to get proper account numbers, they told me I was not in their system. BUT, they had multiple entries on my CR for hospital bills. I contacted them by phone today and they informed me that they had never received notice of my bankruptcy filing...WTF? I find that VERY hard to believe since they are one of the few that continue to show erroneous information on my report.

She told me to send her a copy of my discharge. How unusual is this? Since they are one of maybe 4 companies with wrong/outdated entries, do you think she could be telling the truth or are they just stupid? I noted on the FTC website that they have been sued for mega bucks in the past for inaccurate reporting.

Send them a certified letter of your discharge only.....
In a letter state that all reporting must be updated and corrected on all 3 credit bureaus.
Also let them know if they continue to report incorrectly they will be reported which could result in them paying fines.

I called experian about a problem I was having with a creditor not reporting BK, and experian told me to mail a copy of the BK schedule and they will update the record as soon as they receive it.

I think it's faster to send them the schedule than them contacting individual creditors for accuracy.

You mailed the Matrix and the discharge to Experian?

Have they updated anything for you as of yet?

I am having a major issue with Equifax's Report as well, so I wonder if it might just be easier to send THEM the matrix and the discharge?

        Thanks

          Disputing

I have been on other forum with regards to BK issues and credit clean up, and I read you should NOT send a copy of your discharge to the CRA's. It is their job to find this information out. Is this true or false?

The creditors are required to report accurately. You notify the creditor that they are reporting wrong, give them 30 days to fix it and then if not fixed you notify the credit bureau that creditor is not reporting correctly and you want it removed from your account until they do report correctly.....
It is the credit bureaus job to investigate why it is not being reported correctly. And all they need is a copy of your discharge is it goes this far.
