Orchard: How long do they take to approve

I applied for Orchard card on Friday April 28th, they pulled Experian on the 29th but as of yet no decision. When I check in their web site it says 10 to 14 days?? Hmm does it really takes that long? Do you think may be they won't approve me for an unsecured card?

My BK was discharged on 01/31/2006.

Don't worry. You will probably get an Orchard. They gave my friend a card with a very low credit score. They usually start out with a $300 limit. Give them about two weeks.

It took about a month to get my orchard card, it was a longer wait than any other card I've got. To get a card in a few days, you could try householdbank.

I can wait for the card but just want to know if I got approved or not and no answer yet from Orchard. I wonder if calling them would make any difference.

You could call them. I applied for mine last december, and didn't receive it until the end of january.

I finally got approved, don't know what card or the limit yet. I applied on the 29th of April and today I checked it online and saw that I was approved, finally some good news.

Hubby applied for the unsecured Orchard bank card on 5/16/06 and we got the email today 5/18/06 saying he was approved for the unsecured one , no limit mentioned, just said he will get it in the mail 10-14 days. We didnt choose the $35 express fee to get our card sooner.

He already has First Premier (Feb 06) with only $300 limit, so we figure Orchard will be $300 limit as well. Oh well it is a start.

              His score is 520.

Has anyone been approved for an Orchard card that listed them in a chapter 7 bk?

You have to be VERY careful when applying for a credit card you have filed BK on. If you have to READ ...READ...READ all the small print in the user agreement! Sometimes if you have had a line of credit with a company, file BK on them,....then if you apply for credit AGAIN with them, if you are not careful they will try to "roll over " your old balance onto the new card. YES they can do that, if it was "in" the new user agreement you signed, even through the old debt was discharged.

I(my name only) had First Premier card before BK that I filed on.....we read over and over again to make sure it wouldn't carry anything or effect my Hubby's application. He applied and was approved and nothing was ever said about my old debt.

So be careful and REALLY read those user agreements!!!

you're right about that Pink Amulet. I too included First premier in my bk and later applied for a card and was approved with no mention of previous debt.
