It is SO NICE to start hearing "approved" and to be getting higher limits.

I will wait another year and keep my Rewards 660 card open, but then will close that after it has reported for 2 years!

tin - congrats! I know what you man about hearing approved instead of denied...for a change. Juniper bank issues that card...I have a juniper account and really like it so far. I pay my bill online and when I have had to call Customer Service they were really friendly. My CL is $650.

It's great.
Only on one of my cards so I carry a balance, and that's just so it looks like I keep using it, and I think it's only $100 or something....

It is tempting to not pay for my wedding with these, but I am being responsible, and realizing I will be getting a lot of wedding money, and other things, and that will help.

Ithink the only thing major that we have to pay for are my alterations, and the flowers.... this is great.

My husband to be is excited for me, I just wish he would work on HIS credit too!

if you don't mind what kind of score do you need ? I am tired of applying and get disapproved... we only have first premier just got it and orchard bank 2 months... nobody else will give us anything,, Would it be better to wait a while instead of running up our inquiries we have a lot now.... denied... We tried:
Providian
Wells fargo (personal loans)
Orchard bank sent me a pre approved loan offer through HFC got DENIED
Quicken loans to refi
brockman kia for a car (they say bad credit come all) ya right
I am waiting until the first to dispute again..
I had faxed capital one the BK discharge cause the credit beaureas keep coming back with verified... So I am stuck a little but seeing you go gives me inspiration..

I have the same situation. My advise is to wait, time heals all wounds. When I was discharged and closed I applied and got denied for: Providian, Target, Kays Jewerly, Capital One, Hooters, GEMB (old navy and HSN) so I am working on my experian credit report and just waiting. I was sure that at least one cc was going to approve me. I did get discouraged but I figure that when a cc reaches out to me with a pre approved letter then I will apply as for now I am not going to apply for anything. Best Of luck.

If you've accumulated a bit of inquiries, and have a new account or 2-try waiting a few months. Let some of the inquiries drop out of the 6 month range and let the new accounts get a little older. Also, pay attention to the decline letters to see if they give you reasons that you can work on.

I have heard that if you get an Orchard, they may not be willing to give you an additional HSBC card right away. Then again, there are some who get 2 pretty easily. Personally, I wouldn't apply for a card where I already had one from the same issuer-just in case!

My suggestions? Disupute Dispute, Dispute, and don't stop until you have your credit report where YOU feel it ought to be.

THEN go on application sprees and see what happens.

I also recommend, if you haven't already, sign up for TrueCredit, so that you know what you are dealing with!

I don't know what it is about capital one but I am having the same problem. They even started the account 90 days late eventhough it was included in my bk. Go figure, I don't know what to do about it because it also keeps coming back as verifiied.
